While R.E.M. was fairly camera shy early in their career, they ended up doing a fine job of capturing much of their history visually.

Succumbs (1897) This is R.E.M.’s first commercially available full-length movie. Only available on VHS and laserdisc. Anyone still got either of those players? All the videos contained in this package are included on the When The Light Is Mine DVD, released in September 2006.

Tourfilm (1990) A documentary-style concert film that chronicles the 1989 Green tour of North America.

This Film Is On (1991) This release features promo videos of Out Of Time as well as acoustic performances of Losing My Religion and Love Is All Around.

Parallel (1995) Promo videos for Automatic for the People and Monster interspersed with several avant-garde clips between songs.

Road Movie (1996) Another documentary of the band’s 1995 worldwide tour for Monster. This one clocks in at 90 minutes.

Pop Screen (2000) This DVD compiles all of the Document and Green era promotional videos. Also includes the video for Talk About The Passion and the uncensored Pop Song 89 video.

In View – The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003 (2003) Timed to coincide with the CD collection In Time, this presents 15 years of innovative videos from alternative pop pioneers R.E.M.

Perfect Square (2004) An excellent outdoor concert filmed in Wiesbaden, Germany.

R.E.M. When The Light Is Mine: The Best of the I.R.S Years 1982 – 1987 (2006) The DVD features the band’s I.R.S. videos, plus some unreleased concert footage and some rare footage from their performances on such shows as The Tube.

R.E.M. Live (2007) R.E.M. Live is a live album from R.E.M., recorded at the Point Theatre, Dublin, Ireland, on February 26 and 27, 2005, the closing nights of the winter European leg of the Around the World Tour in support of their thirteenth studio album Around the Sun, released in late 2004.

Live From Austin, TX (2010) Live from Austin, TX is a 2010 video album by R.E.M. recorded on March 13, 2008 for the television series Austin City Limits.

REMTV (2014) REMTV is a six-disc DVD box set collecting appearances by American alternative rock band R.E.M. on MTV and related channels, from 1983 to 2008.
